Office Voice Mail Access

bulletInternal:
  1. Press button labeled [Voice Mail]
    -OR-  dial [FEATURE] 981
  2. If phone displays "Pswd:"
    Enter your PIN and then "#"
  3. If phone displays "Log:"
    Enter your 3-digit extension followed by PIN and then "#"
bulletExternal:
  1. Dial PEI's main office or toll free number
  2. During auto attendant greeting, press "* *"
  3. Enter your 3-digit extension followed by PIN and then "#"
    Example dialing sequence at Main Greeting: **3215555#

Remote Softphone Configuration and Access

bulletInitial Setup and Configuration
(Performed with assistance from PEI telecom administrator)
  1. Install Nortel IP Softphone 2050 on remote machine
  2. Register IP phone and assign extension
  3. Set "Keep Alive" option for Softphone
  4. Assign "Answer DN" to Softphone for user's regular extension
  5. Provide remote user with Nortel USB headset (Nortel Part No. NTEX14AC)
bulletStarting Remote Access Session
(Performed by remote user)
  1. Initiate VPN connection to PEI
  2. Connect Nortel USB headset
  3. Start Softphone program
  4. Start Remote Desktop connection and login
  5. Change contact manager's dialer to use Softphone's extension in both Line and Address fields. Menu action: Edit,Preferences -> Dialer
    (NOTE: Softphone's extension is displayed following 'DN:' on its display)
  6. ***REMEMBER- Before finishing remote access session:
    bulletSet Softphone's DND to ON
    bulletChange dialer back to regular extension in contact manager
